Photography, to me, is a way of paying attention to the temporary.
To an exhibition, over before you know it. A studio full of traces of creation, or an artist telling about their work.
Drawn to atmosphere, gesture and the subtle details that often go unnoticed, I approach commissioned photography as a form of attentive looking.
Alongside my artistic practice, I have worked as a photographer for artists, cultural institutions and creative organisations. Whether documenting an exhibition, a performance, a studio or a person, my aim is not only to record what is there, but also to capture something of its character and presence.
Not merely to document, but to archive what was.
Selected commissions for artists, cultural institutions and creative organisations, including: Argos, De Brakke Grond, Emergent, Gallery Sofie Van De Velde, KASK & Conservatorium HOGENT – Howest, KIOSK & PLUS-ONE.
